Apple took the biggest action ever on the app store.

If you are using the iPhone and use the app store to download the app, then there is news of work for you. Tech giant Apple has taken major action on the app store. Apple has removed about 1.35 lakh apps from the App Store. The company has taken this step to promote transparency at the app store.

Let us tell you that the app developers were given time till 17 February to apply the app developers towards Apple. Now the company has banned the apps for not giving information from millions of apps. The company has removed about 1.35 lakh apps from its app store in the last few days, assuming the rules of the European Union.

Action taken due to the rules of European Union

Explain that according to the rules of the European Union, it is mandatory for the app developers to tell trade status. In simple words, it is mandatory to give details like their address, email ID and phone number to the developers to list your apps on the app store. If any developers do not give this information, then its app will be banned.

Explain that a Digital Service Act has been brought for online platforms in Europe. It was applied in 2023 as Temporary but now it has been fully implemented on 17 February 2025. This is the reason why app developers were given time till 17 February.

The company says that the apps have been banned due to non -giving traders information and they will not return to the app store until the information related to them is found. Let us tell you that since the launch of the App Store, this is the biggest action ever to be taken by Apple.
