Ban on iPhone 16 removed
Apple’s product in Indonesia is about to withdraw soon, after which the sale of the iPhone 16 series launched last year will start. Apple has given this information. After the removal of the ban in Indonesia, the company will again enter another big mobile market. The series, launched in September last year, was banned in Indonesia. However, now dozens of Local Certificates of Apple have received approval from Indonesia’s Industry Ministry. From next month, this new series of Apple will be made available for sale in Indonesia.
Ban in October 2024
In October last year, the Indonesia government banned the sale of Apple’s latest model. This ban was due to regulation guidelines, in which Apple was to be prepared by 40% part of the iPhone sold there. Apple has now completed this guidelines, after which the ban on its product was lifted.
The company shared a $ 280 million with the Government of Indonesia to complete the regulation. Apple issued a statement stating that the sale of the iPhone 16 series in Indonesia will start from April 11.
Certificate for 20 products
Recently, Indonesia’s Industry Ministry spokesman Fabry Hendry Antony Arif had said that we have released the local content request certificate for 20 Apple products. Apple was one of the largest economy in South Asia since November last year to remove the ban on its product in Indonesia. Earlier, the company proposed an investment of $ 100 million in November before the Indonesia government, rejected.
After this Apple agreed to invest 150 million dolls. Also, two facilities to make the company’s product accessories were also agreed to the western Java and Baatam of Indonesia. It was also rejected by the government there. Now Indonesia’s government has agreed to Apple’s proposal to invest $ 280 million, after which the sale of other products including the company’s iPhone will start.
Asia’s first R&D center will open
The company has received a certificate of 20 products due to the promise of investment of $ 280 million from Apple. Apart from this, Apple has also promised to open a semiconductor Research and Development Center in Indonesia. This will be the company’s first R&D center in Asia.
