The BGMI game maker Krafton India may increase difficulties. The company has been accused of selling data of users. FIR has also been registered against Crafton India in this case. The case will be heard on 15 April next week. Let us know that the game-play of BGMI and PUBG is the same. After the Pubji game was banned in India, it was launched by South Korean company Krafton India under the name BGMI i.e. Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Users accused of selling data
According to Talesport reports, Crafton India has been accused of selling data instant messaging apps of users playing games. A resident of Mumbai has filed a case against the game making company. In his FIR, the user says that the users’ data on Telegram has been sold for Rs 2000. The trial filed against Krafton India will be heard on 15 April.
According to reports, a case was filed against the company on 5 September 2024 last year at Akluz Police Station in Mumbai. Four accused have been made in the trial filed against the company, including PUBG (Krafton) India, Jitesh Bansal, Hyunil Sohan and Wuyol Shalome.
FIR hearing next week
In his FIR, the complainant has claimed that the company has leaked the conferen’s data and shared it with external parties. This data of user per user on the Telegram app has been sold at the rate of Rs 2,000. The accused have been filed against the accused under various sections.
Danger of being banned
After the PUBG game was banned in India, Krafton India launched it as the new name Battleground Mobile India (BGMI). Like PUBG, this battle royal game is also very popular among users. Pubji was also banned in 2020 keeping in mind the security of the data of Indian users. Along with Chinese apps, PUBG Mobile was also banned in India under Section 69A of the IT Act. If this charge on BGMI is proved, then this game of Krafton India can also be banned.
