
Telecom companies may soon launch a new feature for caller ID.
If you are troubled by calls with unannous number coming on the day, then soon this problem is going to end. All three private telecom companies of the country, Reliance Jio, Airtel and VI are going to bring a new feature for their crores of users. The name of this feature is New Caller Name presentation. With its help, users will be able to know the name of the caller.
The CNAP features of Jio, Airtel and VI are going to give great relief to millions of mobile users across the country. One of the biggest advantage of this feature of telecom companies will be that now users will not have to resort to any third party app to identify calls coming from unknown number. Till now, the facility like showing the name of the callers was offering apps like Truecaller. However, there will be no need to download them anymore. However, this new service will act like a True-Caller.
Telecom companies partnership
According to Live Mint report, telecom companies have also partnered with some vendors for the New Caller Name Presentation feature. These vendors will provide software and essential server to telecom companies. According to the report, telecom companies have partnered for this with Dell, Ericsson, HP and Nokia.
Caller’s real name will appear
CNAP is a service that aims to improve caller identification. After the rollout of this service, if a users get a call from an unknown number, then he will be seen on the display without any trouqueller. The name seen through CNAP will be the verified name of that collar. Meaning it will be the same name which will be the SIM card in the name.
Let us tell you that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India had said to start CNAP for the first time in February last year. At that time it was told by TRAI that this feature will be rolled out in different phase. CNAP will help to control spam and fraud calls to a great extent.
Order for equipment
According to the report, telecom companies have started working on CNAP. It is being told that telecom companies have also given orders for the equipment required for this. In many places, companies have also started its trial work. After completion of testing and technology stable, it will be rolled out for users across the country.
