Preparations are underway to bring Starlink Satellite Internet service to India. Alan Musk’s company has recently joined hands with the country’s big telecom service providers Airtel and Jio. Both these companies will be able to sell Starlink Equipment and Service through their stores. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea (VI) is also thinking about partnership with Starlink. Meanwhile, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given a big hint for Starlink coming to India.

Union Minister gave great information

The Central Telecom Minister said during an event that Starlink would have to complete all application guidelines to obtain licenses in India. It depends on the company and its application process. As soon as they complete the guidelines, they will get the license. We want a computer telecom market in India.

Significantly, last year the Central Telecom Minister had said to start satellite internet service in India soon. However, so far the allocation of satellite spectrum is stuck. The telecom regulators and the Department of Telecommunications have taken opinion from stakeholders and experts about this. Satellite broadband service will start in India as soon as the spectrum allocation process is completed.

Starlink reached 125 countries

On the other hand, Allen Musk’s company Starlink has brought its broadband service to 125 countries. In the last 4 years, the company has more than 5 million active users or more than 50 lakh active users. Tomorrow i.e. March 19, 23 Falcon 9 satellites of Starlink have been launched by Spacex. These satellites are equipped with direct-to-cell capabilities. As soon as it is launched, the service of Starlink can be taken on direct mobile.

After the service of Starlink starts in India, internet connectivity can be availed in those areas where mobile signals have not yet reached. Currently, apart from Starlink to provide satellite internet service in India, Airtel, Jio and Amazon are in the coupier race. Apart from this, Vodafone Idea is also talking with satellite communication providers so that users can also get the benefit of VI’s satellite internet service.
