BSNL 5G Service
The wait for BSNL 5G service is about to end soon. There has been a big update about the 5G service of the government telecom company. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has given a big update about BSNL’s 5G service. Mobile towers are being installed across the country for BSNL’s 4G service. The public sector telecom company has so far made more than 75 thousand new 4G tower live to expand its network. 1 lakh 4G towers will be installed in the next one or two months, after which preparations will be made to roll out the 5G service of BSNL.
BSNL 5G Service in June?
Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has confirmed that by May-June 2025, all 1 lakh 4G sites of BSNL will be operational. After this, transition will be started from 4G to 5G, which is expected to start in June. Dot has shared this statement of the Union Minister with its official X handle. Let us tell you that last year, the government had allocated a budget of more than 80 thousand crore rupees to revive Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited.
This amount was allotted to upgrade the network of the government telecom company. The work of upgrading the BSNL network is being done rapidly. In the telecom circle which has 3G service of BSNL, 3G is being phased out, so that the spectrum can be used for 4G and 5G service. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited’s 4G service is available in all telecom circles of the country. The company is working to install 4G mobile towers everywhere to expand its 4G service. After the network improves, users of private telecom company can switch to BSNL.
Users may increase
In July last year, after the recharge plan of private telecom companies became expensive, millions of users had ported their number in BSNL. Millions of users shifted to BSNL every month between July and September last year. Government telecom company plans are much cheaper than private companies and the company will not do it expensive yet. After the network improves, the number of users of BSNL may see a rapid increase in.
